From the desk of the Patron

Dearly beloved in the Lord,

Loving greetings to you in the Precious name of Jesus!

As an 18-year-old boy I committed my life to Christ and got ordained in the Kaniyakumari diocese and worked as presbyter for a total of 7 years in Arumanai Church and in the Home Church, Nagercoil. In the year 1971, the then Bishop Rt. Rev. IRH Gnanadson of the Kaniyakumari Diocese deputed me to work with the National Missionary Society of India as Organizing Secretary for 10 years and as the General Secretary for 9 years. God had trained me in pastoral work, evangelistic work and promotional work for a total of 19 years.

In the year 1991, the Holy Spirit guided me to form the Life in Christ Ministries it was a big leap that I had to take. God gave me, my family to stand with me through thick and thin. God gave me the people to provide the needed resources; above all He gave me praying friends who stood with me in the mission. God encouraged me to carry on the mission of proclaiming Christ through word and Deed with the support of Bishops from Chennai, Trivandrum, Cuttack and Vellore, Presbyters from Chennai, Trivandrum and Vellore, and friends and supporters from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, friends from Edinburgh, Muscat, Canada and America. I appreciate and thank God for all the staff of LCM who work tirelessly for the growth of the mission.

It has been a long journey and as I look back, I can only praise God Almighty for the wondrous ways He has lead me, assuring me and never letting me down at any point of time. Late Rev. Jayamathy, my wife stood with me in all my decisions pertaining to the mission in spite of her ill health. I thank God for her. My children Timothy and Jubilee also stood by us in prayer. Jubilee, has now taken over her mother’s role in the mission. I praise God for her and her family. My son and family have relocated to Gurugram and is helping the mission in his best capacity.

It is time to hand over the baton of the role of Executive Director. The LCM board met and have decided in unison to have changes in the Board itself. With gratitude to God I am happy to introduce Dr. J Daniel Jaipandian, the New Executive Director of the Life in Christ Ministries. He is my son in law. He has involved himself in the mission for more than 10 years. Late Rev. Jayamathy mentored him into this spiritual journey. I wish him God blessings and grace in this new realm of his life.

We also have Mrs. Reepfna Jerald, as our new Hon. Treasurer –. She is a God fearing person and lady of integrity. I wish to thank Rev. Benjamin Isaac who was the Hon. Treasurer for quite some time. Due to his ill health, he has resigned from the post.

Dr. Y.E A Raj will continue to be the Vice - Chairman. We wish to thank the outgoing Chairman, Rt. Rev. Dr. A Rajavelu, for his guidance and support for the mission.

I wish to seek your support and prayers for the mission and the newly appointed Board who will run in the track that God has laid for them. Out of my experience in Gods’ work for more than 60 years, the track has not been smooth at all, it was rough, slippery and narrow, but God gave me the grace to run it all. The God of Our Father Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, whose name is the GREAT I AM, will help the new team to run in this journey of faith.

Along with the Psalmist I also say ”What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfil my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.” Psalm 116: 12- 14:
